Hoshin Corporate Finance to support the Aliante Group's international growth
Communique
The holding company Aliante Equity Tre S.p.A., which invests mainly in the Food & Beverage and Design & Supplies sectors, has completed the acquisition in Germany of Dorma Glass, a business unit of the multinational Dormakaba dedicated to interior glass solutions.

The transaction allowed the transfer to Aliante of Dormakaba's global interior glass solutions products, including the production site in Bad Salzuflen (Germany), some selected sales units in Europe and more than 200 employees. Dorma Glass's top management favored the transaction with Aliante over alternative offers from numerous German industrial and financial partners. The company has an annual turnover of around 50 million euros.

With this new acquisition, Aliante aims to expand its activities in the design & furniture sector, encouraging synergistic actions with the other companies part of Aliante's portfolio and identifying the UniCredit Group as a reference partner for the development of its international activities.

In the last eight years, the Aliante Group has succeeded in aggregating numerous leading companies in their respective reference markets, becoming the world's leading operator in the partition wall business, covering both the North American and European markets and the Middle East.

Aliante already holds control of companies of excellence in the sector, such as Muraflex (a company based in Canada, supplier of architectural glass solutions in North America), Mangini (based in Putignano, Bari, active in the design, production and installation of mobile walls and high-tech accessories, especially in the medical and hospital world), Faram 1957 (headquarters in Giavera del Montello — Treviso, Italian leader in the design and production of partition walls and office furniture systems) and Giampi (headquarters in Fontanelle, Treviso, specialized in mechanical processing in steel and aluminum and operating, in particular, in architectural coatings in glass and steel).

The Aliante Holding, which in 2021 is expected to reach a consolidated turnover of more than 500 million euros, also holds numerous important companies operating in the agri-food sector, including: Morato Pane, the second Italian company for volumes produced in packaged bread, the sixth Italian producer of fresh pasta Armando De Angelis and the Contri Spumanti wine company.

Luisella Altare, Regional Manager North East of UniCredit, declares: “Never before has the pan-European nature of UniCredit been decisive in providing support to specific customer needs: the teamwork of our network in the Vicenza area, colleagues at the International Center and the structures of our German bank has allowed us to provide quick answers and 360° support in a complex operation such as this international deal. This is yet another concrete proof of our desire to better support new growth paths, structured on ambitious but sustainable plans.”

Giorgio Guzzetti, Aliante's Senior Partner, declares: “Our leading platform in the partition wall segment will be able to capitalize on the vertical integration of Dorma Glas products and at the same time allow for international strategic development through commercial, research and development and supply chain synergies.”

Andreas Tiedke, the new CEO of Dorma Glass with a long seniority in the Dormakaba group, declares: “The arrival of Aliante will give us the opportunity to broaden our prospects in terms of new markets and business channels as well as to expand the product range to integrated solutions and systems.”

Alberto Maria Morra, Founding Partners of Hoshin Corporate Finance, declares: “Cross-board M&A transactions like this require tailor-made financial advice with an analytical and strategic approach, the fundamental values of Hoshin Corporate Finance. In addition, they testify to the enormous potential of the Italian productive fabric, which through the right financial solutions can grow in a sustainable way even outside our borders. We are pleased to have assisted Aliante in this extraordinary transaction and to have encouraged, with the essential contribution of UniCredit, its expansion into Germany.”
